WHO WE ARE AND WHERE WE ARE LOCATED

Mission Statement:

The mission of Fairfield Glade Community Church is to bring together Christians and those seeking Christ by understanding, acceptance, and respect for their diverse Christian experiences resulting in the glorification of God through worship, religious study, mission projects, and Christian fellowship.

Rev. Dr. Chuck R. Traylor, Pastor      OUR PASTOR

The Rev. Dr. Charles R.  Traylor is our pastor.  He began his ministry in our congregation in November of 2008 after being approved by our church board and 98% of the congregation.  He came to our congregation with a rich background in starting, growing and developing congregations.  His prior appointment before coming to our congregation was as a church administrator overseeing many congregations in the Presbyterian USA denomination.  He is a gifted and passionate speaker about the Lord Jesus Christ.  Earlier in his life he was a newspaper editor and continues to write for his personal Facebook page.

Fairfield Glade Community Church is an interdenominational congregation. We are located in Cumberland County – middle Tennessee.

You can find us from Exit 322 of I-40 near Crossville, Tennessee.  From that exit, take Peavine Road north about 6 miles and continue through the four way stop to Snead Drive.  Turn right on Snead for two blocks.  We are located at 521 Snead Drive,  Fairfield Glade, Tennessee 38558.

OUR LEGAL STATUS IN TENNESSEE

We are chartered as a 501.c3 non-profit organization in the State of Tennessee and approved by the IRS.  To see our vision and mission and to understand how we fulfill the prayer of Jesus Christ that his followers would be “one” click on and read our ByLaws. By Laws Revision 3 10 2008

Copies of our charter and by-laws  are also available in the church library.

From our inception we were conceived as an interdenominational congregation from diverse faith backgrounds that ranged from very theologically conservative to extremely liberal points of view but who chose to love, respect and accept each other’s unique faith experience while growing to become an ecumenical faith family.

Today our 400+ member congregation comes from 15 or more faith traditions.  Our congregational history shows that in spite of our great diversity and struggles that we offer a unique setting and opportunity for the unfolding story of God’s love and forgiveness at work in the world.

The congregation has at least two annual meetings and elects our official board which governs the congregation when a congregational meeting is not in session.
